LandSky is a not-for-profit company set up to engage communities with the arts and media. We specialise in literature events for children and schools, oral history community media and performance. More details about our current partnership project with THE YARD  theatre, are on this page.  Examples of previous work are on our  PROJECTS page. You may also like to catch TALES OF THE WHITE CITY, a musical film we made for the BBC or A WING AND A PRAYER, made for BBC Radio 4.

LandSky’s most recent oral history project was run in conjunction with The Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick. From teachers, to tailors to tattoo artists. A team of volunteers captured over 40 interviews with all kinds of workers. We charted an area in flux, still coming to terms with its new identity.
Industrial buildings are being demolished all over Hackney Wick.

The interviews have all been edited to five minutes or under.  You can select which you want to listen to HERE.  Or you can get a general introduction to the area and its workers by listening to our SOUND PICTURE. LandSky is extremely grateful to our partners at THE YARD and at HUB 67.  We would also like to thank our funders the EAST END COMMUNITY FOUNDATION and the CHAPMAN FOUNDATION
