Frontline Voices
In   July   2012   the   RSA    launched   the   first   of   a   series   of   audio   podcasts created   by   Education   professionals.   Frontline   Voices   aims   to   offer   a platform   to   people   working   in   education   who   have   innovative   ideas   about the future of education in the UK and globally.   LandSky   director,   and   RSA   fellow,   Penny   Wrout   produced   the   first podcast.   Penny   took   the   script,   which   was   originally   conceived   as   a written article for a journal, and reworked it for audio consumption. Working   closely   with   the   author,   Carey   Oppenheim,   Penny   devised   an approach   which   aims   to   present   challenging   ideas   in   an   accessible   format and to provide some commentary on their relevance.

The first frontline voices podcast, written and presented by Carey Oppenheim is called 'Classroom Experiment: Can Schools become Research and Development Centres?'. Carey came late to teaching, following a successful career as a policy-maker, including a spell at Number 10.  You can hear her ideas about school organisation, our examination system and the role of the teacher by clicking HERE.
